Senate adopts sTUDies 3.0 teaching strategy
In its last meeting of the year, on 11th December 2024, the Senate of TU Dresden adopted the sTUDies 3.0 teaching strategy and assessed the sTUDies 3.0 teaching strategy as a strategic document of fundamental importance for the entire university with regard to teaching. The Senate took note of and approved the sTUDies 3.0 teaching strategy and the action plans listed therein, including the measures relating to teaching from TU Dresden's sustainability strategy 2023 - 2030 and the "Shaping Diversity" audit.
Beginning in 2025, the action plans already prioritized by the University Executive Board will now be actively implemented:
- Development of a set of interdisciplinary core competencies at TU Dresden & communication and curricular integration of the core competency set.
- Creating freedom possible? Conceptual proposals for freedom to develop new teaching and learning formats
- Understanding the concept of research-oriented teaching at TU Dresden & strengthening and sensitizing for research-oriented teaching with the integration of Dresden-concept Science and Innovation Allianzoncept
- Definition and description of a learning culture in an increasingly digital space (taking into account further action plans for OER and digital change agents)
- Curricular integration of interdisciplinary teaching-learning formats & cooperation with non-university partners in practical and research teaching projects
- Consideration of lifelong learning as part of the prioritized measures on interdisciplinary core competencies and the learning culture in the increasingly digital space
The sTUDiu 3.0 teaching strategy has been published in a concise and a long version and is now available on the teaching strategy website. The individual action plans and the long version can only be accessed with a ZIH login. The concise version is also available in English for all interested parties.
