Career-related continuing education at TU Dresden opens up many opportunities to deepen or expand your own skills in a targeted manner - even without a regular course of study. Our courses are open to anyone interested in advancing their career, specializing in a particular subject or gaining new perspectives.
In addition to individual continuing education courses consisting of individual modules from our degree programs, we also offer subject-specific continuing education courses in the fields of language, teaching, transport, science and technology and the environment. Upon successful completion, you will receive a TUD certificate. You can also attend courses as a guest student without having to take an examination.

With individual continuing education, you can take individual study modules in a targeted manner and thus expand your professional skills without having to enrol in a complete degree program. You can also attend selected workshops from the TUD continuing education program.
Brief description
With individual continuing education, you can take individual modules from the regular range of courses in a targeted manner in order to expand and deepen your professional skills in a specific area without being enrolled on a complete degree program. You learn together with regular students and take examinations. Upon successful completion, you will receive a TUD certificate.
Target group
The program is aimed at anyone with a university entrance qualification who would like to expand their knowledge in a targeted manner. Enrolment in a degree program is not required.

After a consultation with the student advisor, you will receive an individual offer with the planned modules, duration and fees. As soon as you accept the offer and pay the fees, you are registered.
Registration periods:
- For the winter semester: August to September
- For the summer semester: February to March
Fees: The costs are individual and depend on the type, number and scope of the modules as well as the duration of the course (number of semesters). You will receive an invoice for the course fees once you have accepted the offer. Funding options can be checked if necessary.duration and scope
Procedure
You will complete modules from one or more regular degree programs. The courses (including lectures, seminars, exercises) for the modules take place together with the students, as do the examinations. The duration, formats and scope depend on the modules you select.

Offer in the field of language
In the field of language, the university offers a certificate program that qualifies teachers for integration courses. The continuing education program combines academic principles with practical training and prepares students for teaching German in the context of multilingualism.

Fees: The further education costs amount to EUR 4,460.00. The program is free of charge for TU Dresden students.
Procedure
The courses (including lectures, seminars, exercises) in the certificate program take place together with undergraduate students, as do the examinations. The certificate program is designed for six semesters. It is possible to complete the program in a shorter period of time
Offers in the field of teaching
TU Dresden not only trains teachers, but also offers them professional development and further training. Are you interested in a third subject? In the "Extension Subject" continuing education program, student teachers and teachers can acquire skills in a third subject in addition to their two undergraduate subjects. For teachers from abroad and lateral entrants from other professions, TU Dresden offers individual further training courses to make up for missing study content.

The theoretical adaptation course is an individual further academic training course for people who want to catch up on missing course content in a targeted manner as part of a teacher recognition procedure.

Gap-filling is a special form of further academic training for teachers in lateral entry who originally come from a different professional field. It is an option if you are only missing a few study contents within the scope of subject recognition.

The course is aimed at specialists and managers from the field of quality assurance who want to introduce or expand the sensor technology of consumer goods or who want to gain inspiration for this area of sensor technology.

Brief description
The Radiation Protection Academy Dresden offers various training courses that contribute to the acquisition of specialist knowledge in medicine and technology in accordance with the specialist guidelines of the Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV) and the X-ray Ordinance (RöV). The courses impart practical knowledge in dealing with sources of ionizing radiation and prepare participants for the responsible work of Radiation Protection Officers.

Brief description
The TUDn's Center for International Postgraduate Studies of Environmental Management (CIPSEM) offers the UNEP/UNESCO/BMUKN education program for specialists and managers in government and administration as well as non-governmental organizations in developing and emerging countries. In addition to in-depth theoretical training, the program offers a variety of excursions and opportunities for intensive exchange. After successfully completing the six-month course, participants receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management. Program
Each year there is a six-month long course covering a comprehensive range of topics, as well as three short courses lasting several weeks on selective environmental topics.
The working language of all CIPSEM environmental management courses is English. The six-month main course on holistic environmental management comprises various modules covering a wide range of environmental aspects. The second course model consists of three different short courses, each lasting four weeks. In addition to the theoretical training, a large number of excursions are carried out.
