As part of a continuing education program at TU Dresden, you will take the exams for the selected modules or courses and receive a certificate if you pass. Persons with disabilities or chronic illnesses can apply for compensation for disadvantages for examinations in continuing education courses if their impairments make it difficult to take the examination under the usual conditions. The application must be submitted to the Center for Continuing Education. You can find more information here.

Certificate program for German as a second language in adult education
For students and graduates of a (specialist) university degree course
Start: winter semester 2024/25
The new certificate program"Didactics of German in the context of multilingualism: University certificate of the TU Dresden for the qualification of teachers for integration courses" qualifies academically sound and at the same time practice-oriented for the teaching of German to young and adult learners with a migrant background who acquire German as a second, third, etc. language and who want to learn about different languages. language and have a wide variety of first languages as well as different learning experiences and prerequisites.
The programme qualifies you to lead integration courses and is recognized by the BAMF .
- Period: The certificate program is designed for 6 semesters (WS 2024/25 to SS 2027), but can also be completed in a shorter period of time.
- Further education costs: EUR 4,460.00. The program is free of charge for students!

Further education in the field of teaching
For teachers from abroad and lateral entrants from other professions, TU Dresden offers individual further training courses to make up for missing study content in the fields of educational science, subject didactics and also subject-specific areas.
Are you interested in a third subject? In the further education extension subject, student teachers and teachers can acquire skills in a third subject in addition to their two undergraduate subjects.

Further training in transportation
The Faculty of Transportation Sciences offers its Building Information Modeling in Transportation module for employees of companies, authorities, engineering offices, etc. In addition to a basic introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM), the essential scientific standards and the systematics of digitizing the planning, construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure are discussed. The online course consists of a lecture and an exercise in the summer semester.

Sensory analysis of consumer goods: Theory and practice of sensory analysis of consumer goods
The three-day course with practical training and practical tests enables participants to carry out and evaluate sensory tests on food contact materials. You will learn new training elements specific to consumer goods, which you can transfer to your test panel or with the help of which you can set up a new test panel and provide specific training.

Radiation protection courses
The Radiation Protection Academy Dresden (SAD) offers various training courses as a contribution to obtaining specialist knowledge in medicine and technology in accordance with the technical guidelines of the Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV) and the X-ray Ordinance (RöV). Radiation protection expertise is one of the prerequisites for appointment as a Radiation Protection Officer for handling sources of ionizing radiation.

The Center for International Postgraduate Studies of Environmental Management (CIPSEM) at TU Dresden offers the UNEP/UNESCO/BMUV continuing education programme for specialists and managers in government and administration as well as non-governmental organizations in developing and emerging countries. In addition to in-depth theoretical training, the program offers a variety of excursions and opportunities for intensive exchange. After successfully completing the six-month course, participants receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management.
