Guest Auditors
Would you like to attend individual courses at TU Dresden?
You are welcome to attend courses at TU Dresden - at any stage of your life, regardless of age or school-leaving qualification. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in certain subject areas, take part out of pure curiosity and the joy of learning or get to know everyday university life - guest students are open to all interested parties. Find the course(s) that interest you on the TU Dresden website and register with the guest student application form at the Center for Continuing Education or register online via OPAL (NEW).
Tip: You can find exciting courses for your guest lectureship in the Studium Generale database.
Registration period for guest students in the winter semester 2025/26: September 22 - October 10, 2025

What the guest auditor program offers you

You can attend selected lectures from non-restricted degree programswith a guest auditor. If you would like to attend lectures from degree programs with admission restrictions or other teaching formats such as seminars, you will need confirmation from the respective lecturer (by email).

As a guest auditor, you will receive a guest login with which you can access learning materials for selected courses on OPAL.

A certificate of attendance can be issued. This requires a request before the start of the course.
Please note
- Guest auditor status is valid for one semester.
- Registration for guest auditor status is only possible for specifically selected courses. The desired lectures must be specified in the guest auditor application.
- As a guest student, you cannot take any examinations .
- You are not entitled to a semester ticket or student funding. You will not receive any discounts in the canteens.
