Preventing antisemitism in the school context: accompanying course for student teachers
Start: summer semester 2026
The accompanying course "Jewish Everyday Life in Germany. Between Civil Rights, Antisemitism and #neveragain" is an additional course offered by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science at TU Dresden that can be used by all students on teacher training courses at TU Dresden, regardless of the type of school they choose.
The program teaches scientifical and practice-oriented skills for recognizing and dealing with antisemitism in the school environment. It provides information about the social and sociological backgrounds of antisemitism and about the diversity of Jewish life in Germany.
Participants learn how to make educational processes at school sensitive to discrimination, reflect on their pedagogical role and intervene appropriately in everyday school life. Pedagogical, didactic and methodological approaches for antisemitism-free educational work as well as practical prevention strategies are provided in the program.
- Duration: 3 semesters (starting in the summer term)
- Credits: 15 CP (of which 10 CP can be accredited within the regular teacher training courses (generally as supplementary studies)

IP|Express certificate program
For students of the TU Dresden
Start: winter semester 2024/25
IRGET offers the certificate course IP|Express in cooperation with the TUD Excellence Center for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship TUD|excite.
The certificate course provides application-related knowledge with regard to industrial copyright laws, in particular patent law. The course will focus in particular on their importance for research-based innovation projects and start-ups.
Certificate program for German as a second and foreign language in adult education
For students and graduates of a (specialist) university degree course
Start: winter semester 2024/25
The new certificate program "German in the context of multilingualism: University certificate of the TU Dresden for the qualification of teachers for integration courses" qualifies academically sound and at the same time practice-oriented for the teaching of German to young and adult learners with a migrant background who acquire German as a second, third, etc. language and who want to learn about different languages. language and have a wide variety of first languages as well as different learning experiences and prerequisites.
The programme qualifies you to lead integration courses and is recognized by the BAMF. The costs for the program can be partially reimbursed. Find out more about recognition and cost reimbursement on the BAMF website.
Note for graduates of the extension subject German as a second language: The completion of the extension subject DaZ already fulfills the admission requirements of the Federal Ministry for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) for the management of integration courses.
- Duration: The certificate program is designed for 6 semesters, but can also be completed in a shorter period of time.
- Further education costs: EUR 4,460.00. The program is free of charge for TU Dresden students!
International: The TUD Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC)
The certificate program for students and doctoral candidates promotes and recognizes intercultural and global knowledge, experience and skills as well as local-global commitment. To obtain the certificate, three out of four modules in the areas of Knowledge (mandatory), Mobility, Practice@Home and Civic Engagement must be completed. Program registration is possible at any time via the ZIH login. Every semester, the TUD Global Citizenship Lab - the mandatory introductory course of the GCC - is offered with ECTS. The program is in English and German.
