Dr. Boubakar Barry still has close ties to TUD three decades after completing his doctorate. The networking pro and TUD regional ambassador benefits from the connection he has to his alma mater to this day. He is now the CEO and Board Secretary of the West and Central African Research and Education Network WACREN.

His tip for prospective students? “Enjoy student life, but always keep your sights on your objective: graduating with good marks from TUD. That should be your ultimate goal. Everything else takes a back seat.”

He adds: “You can ensure a good transition to a career in your field through contacts. It can be difficult to secure a position right after graduation. However, internships and volunteer work can help you get a foot in the door.”
