Data protection declaration / Information on data processing
In May 2018, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force. In order to comply with all legal obligations to provide information and disclosure, the following informs you about how TU Dresden processes your data.
1. Purpose and Data-Collecting Authority
Some time ago, you registered to be a part of TU Dresden’s Alumni Network. Your data is processed for purposes pursuant to § 14 para. 1 no. 9 of the Act on the Autonomy of Institutions of Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (maintaining contacts). 2. Voluntariness and Withdrawal of Consent
By filling in and submitting your registration, you consented to the processing of the personal data you provided. This includes your email address for receiving the above-mentioned newsletter. The provision of all data is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. You will no longer receive the newsletter accompanying the alumni magazine “Kontakt-online” and your data will no longer be stored.
3. Data Transmission and Publication
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties. The collected data will not be published at any time.
4. Storage Period
Your data will be stored for the duration that you receive the newsletter and will automatically be erased if and when you unsubscribe.
5. Right of Access by the Data Subject
You may at any time request information about the data processed concerning your person as well as possible recipients of this data to whom it has been transfered. You are also entitled to a reply within one month of the responsible party for data processing receiving your request for information.
5. Data Protection Officer and Supervisory Authority for Data Protection
You can contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden and the responsible supervisory authority for data protection at any time.
