One Scholarship. Many Faces.
Encouraging young talented people so that they have a clear head for their studies - this idea is at the center of the Deutschlandstipendium. The Deutschlandstipendium has created a new scholarship culture in Germany, in which the state and society for the first time together assume responsibility for the next generation of young people and visibly recognize the achievements and social commitment of the scholarship holders.
With the Deutschlandstipendium, the TU Dresden promotes gifted and high-performing students with extraordinary personality traits and social commitment. It is the only scholarship program that enables a university to award scholarships to its own talented students.
How the program works for students and sponsors is explained below.
How does the Deutschlandstipendium work?
More information for applicants The Deutschlandstipendium promotes gifted and dedicated students of all disciplines. In addition to success in one's studies, the willingness to accept responsibility or the effective mastering of obstacles in one's life so far play an important role in the awarding process. Both new and current students can apply if they are enrolled
at TU Dresden or have applied for a place to study. The scholarship includes a monthly grant of 300 euros for a full academic year. Promoting young talents together
- that is the motto of the Deutschlandstipendium. This is because the scholarship is financed jointly by private sponsors (companies, foundations, associations and private individuals) and the BMBF.
More information for sponsors The monthly scholarship of 300 euros granted for a period of two semesters and can be extended beyond that. 150 euros are financed by the federal government and 150 euros by private sponsors such as companies, foundations, associations, alumni or other individuals. The university acts as an organizer and as a mediator between the BMBF, supporters and promoters. She is also responsible for fundraising.
In the current academic year, 271 students are supported by 75 companies and private individuals. Can we inspire you to sponsor one or more scholarships? Mrs Franziska Plathner is always available as a contact person for you.
