Information for applicants from abroad
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)is the largest global support organisation in the field of international exchanges for students and academics and is represented in 58 countries. You can get advice and help for financing your studies in Germany from the DAAD information centre in your home country.

International applicants do not have to apply for a scholarship from the DAAD alone, they can also apply to other institutions, for example foundations affiliated with political parties, religious institutions or business-related organisations. The DAAD scholarship database has extensive information available about different scholarship programmes, application requirements and deadlines, which can be filtered according to home country and subject.
Information for foreign students at TU Dresden
Are you already a student at TU Dresden and want to apply for a scholarship? International students have the option of applying for aNational Scholarship Program "Deutschlandstipendium" at TU Dresden and for aDAAD/STIBET scholarship.
Furthermore, international students can apply for a scholarship at numerous institutions, for instance at theGerman Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), foundations affiliated with political parties, religious institutions or business-related organisations. You will find information about the different support options in the DAAD scholarship database.
Scholarship programmes (exchange students & special programmes)
TU Dresden cooperates with numerous partner universities abroad. Foreign students come to TU Dresden for one or two semesters as part of the following scholarship programmes:
- G. Agricola scholarship programme
- DAAD KOSPIE programme (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and India)
- DAAD-STIBET scholarships for the exchange of students
- Erasmus+ and Erasmus+ partner countries
