Admission requirements
In order to be accepted into the programme, you must have obtained a first university degree that qualifies for a profession; or a degree from a state or state-recognised university of cooperative education in the field of economics or in a field of study with a focus on economics (at least 60 credit points).
Proficiency of English at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required. For applicants whose native language is not English, or whose language skills cannot be proven through a school-leaving certificate, this level must be verified with by presenting a certificate for a completed language test, such as the internet-based TOEFL test, the paper-based TOEFL test, the computer-based TOEFL test, or the IELTS test.

International applicants and German applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification are kindly advised to read the requirements for German-language courses.
Notes on the application process
If, at the time of application, proof of the first degree qualifying the applicant for a profession is not yet available, the application will be considered under the precondition that 80% of the credit points attainable for the degree have already been achieved based on completed module examinations or the final thesis and the colloquium (if applicable). A certification from the awarding institute of higher education (examination office) serves as proof of the above-mentioned academic achievements. Please note that this degree program is offered in Zittau and take this into account when looking for accommodation. The Studentenwerk Dresden also offers affordable accommodation in Zittau.
General information about the degree program
Global trade conflicts, international protectionism, regional integration and disintegration (Brexit) as well as the emergence of new economic powers (China) are trends that pose major challenges to managers of international companies nowadays. The demands placed on experts and managers in these companies are correspondingly demanding. In addition to classical business and management-related specialist knowledge, knowledge of the particularities of international business activities, language skills and intercultural competence are of outstanding importance.
The master's programme "International Management" at IHI Zittau is an innovative study and education concept that prepares students precisely for these challenges. It is a cooperative study programme with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
