Borrowing at the TUD
TUD Dresden University of Technology promotes sustainability in everyday university life, at events and more by offering various rental options. These are available to employees and students and are usually free of charge.

Cargo bikes

One of the biggest things you can borrow are the cargo bikes. They make it possible to transport larger objects. Fortunately, we have several cargo bikes available at TU Dresden. Among others, the Green Office has a cargo bike, the tuuwi and, since 2024, the Faculty of Hydro Sciences, with the help of a grant from the Environment Commission.

Tableware & cups
Through some tableware collection campaigns, such as during the Sustainability Week, TU Dresden has collected a selection of different colorful second-hand crockery that can also be borrowed. There are also uniform 0.5L cups with the TU Dresden and Green Office logo.
Stools
The TUD stools are suitable for all types of events. They are quick and easy to set up and can be used as seating or as decoration. The covers are made of a weatherproof material that is ideal for outdoor use.
Seat cushions
The seat cushions are made of the same material as the stools. The cover of the stools was used in a sewing and craft workshop in cooperation with the SLUB to sew these wonderful, weather-resistant seat cushions with the help of volunteers.
Cardboard furniture
Cardboard tables and stands are also available. They were invented by Aidboards and were originally designed for emergency shelters as they are cheap to make, easy to transport and assemble and are also recyclable.
