Targets

The Vice-Rector Academic Affairs seeks to contribute to making our University of Excellence into a veritable community of teachers and learners that fosters lively dialogue, mutual trust, respect and appreciation. Our team strives to attract the most committed and engaged students and to provide them with the best possible education to meet the challenges of our time.

Tasks

The Office of the Vice-Rector Academic Affairs offers a wide range of services to help students and lecturers at our university stay organized and set them on the path to academic success. We are constantly developing and refining courses while expanding on the digital learning environments available. Education at TU Dresden is the product of the unification of research, teaching and studies.

TU Dresden imparts the best knowledge and skills to its students. Our graduates not only leave the university as highly qualified professionals, but they also have an understanding of ethical and cultural values, preparing them to help shape society responsibly.

Role

The Vice-Rector Education Across the Life Course is responsible for the organization and quality of educational opportunities at TU Dresden. His tasks range from student advisory services and support to the organization of studies and teaching, the further training of teaching staff in the didactics of higher education, quality assurance in studies and teaching, postgraduate courses and, last but not least, lifelong learning from young to old. The Vice-Rector is dedicated to these tasks and collaborates closely with staff of various central and decentralized organizational units of TUD.
