TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITÄT DRESDEN
Advisory Board for the Georg Helm Award

Georg Helm Medal
The Georg Helm Prize was established as an academic prize in 1995 by members of the Association for the Promotion of Students at Technische Universität Dresden (Vereins zur Förderung von Studierenden der Technischen Universität Dresden) and is awarded annually by the university.
All Faculties at TU Dresden are eligible to submit nominations. The Faculties must submit their nominations between early February and early June with a detailed justification and statement to the Georg Helm Prize Advisory Board via the University Executive Board. The papers must be submitted in writing and must be the students’ own work. The authors must sign a declaration to this effect. The academic theses (Diplom theses, Master’s theses and dissertations) are evaluated by the Georg Helm Prize’s Advisory Board, which is composed of an equal number of professors from TU Dresden and the Association.
The Georg Helm Prize is awarded annually to three winners, each of whom receives a medal made of Meissen porcelain and prize money of EUR 2,500. The Helm Prize is conferred by the Rector of TU Dresden and the Executive Board of the Association in a ceremony.
