Every year, we offer our members and scholarship holders a varied program of events. New contacts in science and business can be made here.
We regularly inform our members about interesting and extraordinary events within TU Dresden - from concerts by the university choir to a lecture series with Nobel Prize winners. The offer is broad.
Members' meetings
At the beginning of the winter semester, we visit different areas of our university every year and provide an insight into their current research and developments. In addition to a report on the previous year by the Board of the Association, we take a look behind the scenes and get to know our hosts better on short excursions. Talking to members of the university, scholarship holders and company partners gives us the opportunity to discover new things and expand our networks.
Summer party
Our summer party traditionally takes place in university facilities that are less in the focus of teaching and research - but are indispensable for academic life. The Adventureland Mathematics, the University Sports Center and the Office for Academic Heritage Scientific and Art Collections are exciting places that are well worth discovering! Get into conversation in a relaxed summer atmosphere and get to know new perspectives.
Scholarship holder meeting
Another format is the annual meeting with the German scholarship holders sponsored by the Friends of the University. After a thematic keynote speech by a selected cooperation partner, we invite you to exchange ideas. At the same time, we take the opportunity to introduce the students to the GFF network and arrange contacts.
