Events
Each year, we prepare an exciting calendar of events for our members and scholarship holders. These events offer the opportunity to make new contacts in science and commerce.
We regularly update our members on interesting and exceptional events at TU Dresden – from concerts held by the University Choir to the lecture series with Nobel Prize winners. There’s something for everyone!
General meetings
A different School at our university welcomes us each winter semester for the duration of the academic year, so we continually gain insights into current research and development in various areas. In addition to a report on the past year from the executive board of the association, we get to take a peek behind the scenes and better familiarize ourselves with our host institution on small excursions. Chatting with university members, scholarship holders and corporate partners allows us to discover new things and expand our networks.

Summer festival
Our summer festival traditionally takes place in university establishments that are less directly related to teaching and research, but which remain integral to academic life. Adventureland Mathematics, the University Sports Center and the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections are exciting locations worth checking out! Chat with others in a relaxed atmosphere and view things from a new perspective.
The summer festival planned for June 12, 2020, at the ZINT had to be canceled due to the pandemic. Stay tuned for future events.

Scholarship holders’ meeting
Another event we host is the annual meeting with the recipients of the Deutschland Stipendium scholarship funded by the Association of Friends and Supporters of TU Dresden (GFF). Following a keynote speech by a selected cooperation partner, we invite participants to engage in conversation with each other. We also use this opportunity to introduce the GFF’s network to students and convey relevant contacts.
