Clara Hallmann Perez attends the Society for Personality and Social Psychology conference in Denver, Colorado (USA)
Clara Hallmann Perez, Research Associate at the Chair of Social Psychology at TU Dresden, took part in the 25th conference of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) in Denver, Colorado (USA) in February 2025. With around 4,000 participants, the SPSP is one of the most important international conferences in the field of personality and social psychology.
As part of her dissertation, Clara Hallmann Perez presented her research findings both in a short talk in the Attitudes and Social Influence section and in a poster session in the Political Psychology section. Her studies deal with the social perception of ambivalent attitudes and their influence on evaluations and decision-making processes. A key finding: expressing ambivalent attitudes can increase perceived trustworthiness and actual trust behavior.
The active participation in the SPSP conference enabled Clara Hallmann Perez to present her research to a highly specialized audience, to gain valuable impulses for future projects and to establish important contacts within the international research community.
Special thanks go to the Society of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden for financially supporting her participation in the conference.
