The Association of Friends and Sponsors of TUD (GFF) is once again offering teaching awards in three categories for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Teaching prize of the GFF 2025
The aim is to recognize teaching and learning concepts from the 2024/2025 academic year that focus on the key qualification of creativity, which is so important for the world of work, in their conception and/or implementation. These should promote creative thinking and action through the use of innovative teaching scenarios and strengthen the creative potential of students. There are no restrictions in terms of subject matter.

The total amount of prize money to be awarded to individuals or groups is 10,000 euros. This means that offers from every faculty and the Central Units with study programs have the potential to receive a teaching award. The prerequisite for this is the submission of corresponding applications.

Teaching award for student teaching and learning formats at TU Dresden
Eligible for the award are

• student-developed courses or joint student projects that are sustainably integrated into the TUD's teaching program
• extraordinary student commitment in the implementation of teaching formats
• particularly innovative/creative/participative teaching formats designed by students
• extraordinary student commitment in the implementation of student projects

The total amount of prize money to be awarded to individuals or groups is 5,000 euros.

Teaching award for teacher training programs
The design of teaching and learning formats for student teachers and lateral entrants is proving to be a particular challenge against the backdrop of the transformation of the educational landscape. It is constantly important to impart skills that enable effective practical transfer for schools. For this reason, creative and sustainable concepts as well as special commitment are to be honored with a teaching award.
The total amount of prize money to be awarded is 5,000 euros.

All status groups at TU Dresden are eligible to nominate candidates for the teaching awards. The prize can be awarded to individuals or groups of people. Proposals can be submitted directly via the website until 31.08.2025 .
