MINT scholarship holders introduced: Franziska Rauscher
Since 2019, the GFF has been supporting high school graduates starting their studies at TU Dresden in one of the many STEM subjects with its own scholarship program. We would like to briefly introduce the current cohort in the following months.
Franziska Rauscher completed her Abitur at the Gymnasium Olberhau and is a physics student.
That's why I decided to study at the TU Dresden: | Because I was able to get to know TU Dresden through some physics events before I started my studies and felt very well looked after here. Above all, I like the broad spectrum of specialization and research opportunities that the TU offers. |
That inspires me: | I find elementary particle physics in particular incredibly interesting. It's fascinating to investigate what the world around us is made of and why we can exist the way we do. |
STEM means to me: | Research, innovation, international collaboration, interdisciplinarity and openness |
I want to be able to answer these question(s) after my studies: | I want to understand how our world works at the most fundamental level. To do this, I want to build up a basic understanding that I can deepen further after my studies. |
If you have a message for prospective and/or first-year students, what would it be? | STEM degree programs are very demanding, especially in the first semesters, but if you have a strong motivation for your studies, you can do it. From my point of view, the most important thing is not to lose sight of your motivation, then you can get through your studies. |
