Participation in the #ganzohr2025 podcast workshop

During the production of our faculty podcast "Stoffwechsel" for the Faculty of Civil Engineering, I became aware of the bootcamp #ganzohr - an annual workshop format organized by members of the platform wissenschaftspodcasts.de.

In perfect weather, numerous podcast creators from various scientific disciplines met there to discuss topics such as interviewing, production concepts, storytelling and technical implementation. The insight into over ten years of experience of the participants from fields such as astrophysics, mathematics, sustainability in textile production and science journalism was particularly enriching.

Intensive discussions focused on what makes the podcast medium so special and how it can contribute to communicating science in a personal and accessible way. The role of artificial intelligence in podcast production also made for exciting discussions - from new creative possibilities to ethical issues and potential risks.

The workshop was an inspiring experience and encouraged me to continue working on our podcast "Stoffwechsel" . I am convinced that podcasts are a unique medium for communicating scientific topics in a lively and approachable way.
