Family-friendly study conditions in the form of flexible study times (relaxation of examination deadlines and times, part-time study options), e-learning offers or the promotion of studying abroad with children support students with child(ren) and/or relatives in need of care in balancing their studies with their family responsibilities.

Family-friendly working conditions
In order to attract and retain excellent, highly qualified employees for TU Dresden, TU Dresden strives to create attractive working conditions. Employees are supported in reconciling work and family life through family-friendly working conditions such as flexible working time regulations, fixed-term employment principles for academic staff, the framework code on dealing with fixed-term employment, the application of the family policy component in accordance with the WissZeitVG, the conduct of annual appraisals taking into account compatibility, the introduction of the handout on equal opportunities in appointment procedures, leaves of absence / leaves of absence, regulations on the place of work.
