Internationale Wochen gegen Rassismus 2025Workshop: KI und Rassismus
Artificial intelligence, and algorithms in general, are now omnipresent in our everyday lives and determine important social and societal functions, such as the selection of information or new contacts. However, the technology is far from neutral; it is shaped by the training data and optimization functions for which it was developed. So do algorithms reinforce existing racism? Does this further reinforce hierarchies and make minorities less visible? The workshop will be held in German.
Speaker: Dr. Philipp Lorenz-Spreen (Junior Research Group Leader Computational Social Science, SynoSys)
Information about the location will be sent via e-mail after registration.
