Evaluation
Teaching is an important and challenging task at the university. It requires not only specialist knowledge, but also didactic skills, pedagogical ability and creative ideas. However, teaching is also a dynamic and learning process that requires regular review, reflection and further development. Accordingly, evaluation can help to ensure and improve quality. In this way, lecturers receive feedback, suggestions and ideas for the further development of their teaching skills and methods.
There are various strategies for evaluating teaching, depending on the respective goal, the time and the framework conditions. Systematic teaching evaluation at TU Dresden is carried out by the Center for Quality Analysis.
The ZiLL staff will be happy to support you in carrying out a qualitative teaching evaluation (Teaching Analysis Poll).
Of course, you can also evaluate your teaching independently, e.g. as part of a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). For this purpose, you can, for example, keep a learning diary or carry out self-observation. We would be happy to help you with this, please contact us.
