Board of Directors and Managing Director
The Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research is headed by a Board of Directors. The members of the Board of Directors are proposed by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of TU Dresden and appointed for a period of three years by the University Executive Board – after the opinion of the Academic Advisory Council has been considered. The Board of Directors consists of one educational scientist, one expert in individual subject didactics and one academic expert each, all from different subject groups. One member of the Board of Directors is appointed as managing director. The Board of Directors reports to the University Executive Board, the Board of Trustees and the Academic Advisory Council regarding the development of the ZLSB and the fulfillment of its responsibilities. It works closely with the participating Faculties and their deans. The General Management supports the Board of Directors of the ZLSB and organizes and coordinates the work involved in implementing the responsibilities of the Center.

The General Management supports the Board of Directors of the ZLSB and organizes and coordinates the work involved in implementing the responsibilities of the Center. In coordination with the Board of Directors, the General Management represents the Center in teacher education networks as well as in cross-institutional working groups.

Further Committees
The Student Councils represent the student teachers of the respective degree programs and contribute to the design and further development of course content and conditions. The Study Commissions are made up of representatives of teaching staff and students and are responsible for the content and organization of the degree programmes. They regularly evaluate the study programs and develop proposals to improve the teaching and learning situation. The working groups are thematically oriented groups that deal with specific issues of teacher training, school and vocational training research.
