Become a tutor
Supporting new students in the introductory phase of their studies, continuing the role change from student teacher to active teacher outside of the internships and imparting theoretical knowledge and skills in an applicable and practical way - this is what working as a tutor offers. The prerequisite for this is participation in a basic qualification lasting several days, which takes place in cooperation with TUTORING hybrid.
Content of the qualification
-
My role as a tutor
-
Moderating and leading groups
- Planning workshops
- Giving and receiving feedback
- Preparation of introductory/orientation tutorials
- Conversation techniques for advising first semester students
After the training, you will work as a tutor for student teachers as part of a SHK contract (usually 5h/week). The tasks include
- Support at the start of studies through tutorials on timetable construction and study organization,
- Planning and conducting reflection sessions for student teachers in team teaching,
- Support and advice on study organization issues.
During the semester, the tutors are supported and supervised in their work by colleagues from the Teacher Academic Affairs Office. Participation in the qualification and work as a tutor secures basic points for the supplementary studies.
