Successful - Digital - Integrated: Studying at TU Dresden (EDI:TUD)
The objective of the project, which is based at the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK), is to improve welcome culture for international students, in order to increase the attractiveness of Germany as a place to study. It is part of the STIBET II program. The concrete goal on the ground is to improve the integration and support of international students at the TU Dresden. Therefore, international students are closely accompanied along their entire path to graduation in order to avoid dropouts.
The first project stage includes the following project goals:
- Communicating academic culture at the TU Dresden through the support of tutors
- Networking of German and international students
- Expansion of the digital offers in OPAL
- Expansion of the intercultural and methodological competencies of the teaching staff
- special offers to teach technical languange
For the second project stage, the linking of the EDI:TUD project with already existing offers of the university is added as the 6th project objective.
The accompanying evaluation focuses on these six goals and uses various qualitative and quantitative data to assess the work done. In addition, the ZQA is responsible for the scientific monitoring. The results can be found here.
