Projects
The projects of the Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group deal with topics in engineering-, social- and human science. Under the title “Paths to ecologically friendly, safe and competitive energy systems – Technical feasibility and societal impacts” research is multidisziplinary. Due to the close networking and symbiosis, which is related to the interdisziplinarity, the specific research questions are considered and discussed in a wider perspective. At the same time, there is a demand in a profound research in the specific field of expertise. Six doctoral candidates are supported by the Friedrich und Elisabeth Boysen-Stiftung, which projects are related to engineering science (Project 1 to Project 6). The other six doctoral candidates are promoted by means of the Dresden Institutional Strategy: "The Synergetic University" (Zukunftskonzept ZUK) (Project 7 to Project 12).
Project 1: Making biogas a CO2-sink using carbon mineralization
Project 2: Energetically significant evaluation and environmental optimization of long-term energy-storage-systems
Project 3: Technically implementable concepts for hybrid power grids
Project 4: Energy-efficient and networked routing in urban areas
Project 5: Technologies and potential of seasonal heat storage systems
