Sustainable Construction - Spring Excursion with the Institute for Construction Management

After a two-year hiatus, the Institute of Construction Management is offering its next spring field trip next week, May 23-25, 2022. The destination of the trip is Berlin. Students will be offered interesting insights into various construction projects around the topics of sustainable building, revitalization and infrastructure construction. During the excursion, the institute will visit, among others, the extension of the Dresdner Bahn line as well as the long-distance connection Berlin-Dresden, the refurbishment of the Gasometer on the EUREF Campus (see picture), the redevelopment of a climate-positive housing estate in timber construction, the DGNB Platinum certified EGDE East Side Berlin Tower and the revitalization of a high-rise including climate-neutral new buildings in timber hybrid construction in the project Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg.
