Application
What documents do you need to apply for an Erasmus place?
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation for your first choice
- Proof of previous academic achievements (with names)
- Proof of language proficiency in the language of instruction (recommended at least B1) → you are also welcome to use the preparatory (online) language courses to refresh and improve your language skills
- Learning Agreement draft (Word file; you only create the DLA after you have been allocated a place)
- Note: Since summer 2024, the ESI (European Student Identifier) is created by the system when you apply in Mobility Online; you can find it under the Personal Master Data tab.
Here you will find a guide for the application part 1 via Mobility Online.
The Erasmus representative of the BIW faculty will then allocate your place. At popular universities, there may be more applications than places available. However, we will find a solution together. Therefore, please also indicate a second or third preference when applying. Your first preference will of course be given preference.
You can find out how you can accept or reject the proposed place in the application guide part 2.
What happens after you have been accepted?
-
Your name will be communicated by your ERASMUS coordinator at the partner university (nomination).
-
You enrol at the partner university. The ERASMUS Office or International Office of the host university will help you with all the formalities. The websites of the host university are also an important source of information.
-
Your coordinator will inform the International Office about your application by the end of April so that you can also receive ERASMUS funding for your stay.
-
You create the Digital Learning Agreement via Mobility Online (Application Guide Part 3). After your digital signature of the DLA, the signatures of the ERASMUS coordinators of both the home and the partner university are automatically requested. The fully signed DLA must be available in the mobility portal at the latest before the start of your studies at the host university. Subsequent adjustments can be made in Mobility Online if necessary.
