Financial Funding Programmes
At the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering exist different financial funding programmes to increase the share of women who work as research and teaching associates, professors, Junior Professors and Junior Research Group leaders or who completed her habilitation. The applications can be submitted informally to the Equal Opportunities Team (copy to the Equal Opportunities Officer of the faculty).
Participation in international events
- Max. 500€, e.g., for congresses, workshops, and so on
- Condition: Assurance of acceptance of an oral presentation or poster by the organizers; copy of the abstract, if necessary, application for business trip
Submission of publications in international journals
- Max. 300€ for English proof-reading
- Condition: Assurance of submission of the publication to an international journal with an impactfactor
Target group: (female) PhD students, postdocs [alternative: postdoctoral fellows], habilitation candidates
Provision of funds for student assistants / research assistants
- To the support during the start-up phase of junior research group leaders, newly appointed professors
- To the support during the final phase of habilitation candidates
Unfortunately, no funding commitments can be made in the first half of 2024. However, please contact me and we will look for a solution together.
Forum for postdocs and habilitation candidates NExT
NExT stands for networking, expertise, possibilities, and inspiration. NExT creates the possibility for postdocs to network, take educational courses and inspire.
FUN – Women’s environment network
FUN* supports students with overcoming private or professional challenges during their daily life at the university. The mail goal is to support women in STEM subjects to become confident. On a long-term basis FUN* contributes to Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities at the TU Dresden and provides the possibility to network, discuss challenges, search for solutions, and develop opportunities for action. Every year the network organizes a variety of workshops, seminars, podcasts, field trips and informative events to promote Gender Equality during the studies and at the start of the career.
