DGaaE Entomology Congress 2023 in Bolzano, Italy

Due to the 2023 DGaaE Entomology Congress Prof. Müller and six research associates of the Chair of Forest Protection travelled to the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in South Tyrol. From March 20 to March 23 a great variety of events, presentations and posters was offered, which encouraged a lot of scientific exchange among the 230 participants from 14 different nations. The Chair also participated with four own presentations on biological regulation of bark beetles via parasitoids (Anna Lawall und Elisabeth Spann), the monitoring of invasive species (Moritz Brunkau) and the mass trapping of Hylobius abietis (Tobias Heber).

We went home with plenty of new impressions and information for research and teaching - and would like to say a big thank you to the DGaaE and the organizing team at Bolzano for their informative and successful event!
