Project description:
A current joint project by employees of the Department of Hydrosciences under the leadership of the Chair of Waste and Recycling Management provides for the navigation of the Elbe and other inland waters by means of a raft built from recycled materials. Water samples are to be taken from these waters and analyzed for the pollutants and leading parameters they contain.
The launching and christening of the raft into the Elbe River as well as a first crossing from the IAK site in Pirna to the harbor in Dresden-Neustadt took place on May 3, 2022. Many thanks to Transport- & Baggerservice Heiko Niemsch for transporting the raft to the water!
The first part of the research trip took place from 07-11 June 2022 from Dresden to Magdeburg on the Elbe. In 2023 the second part from Magdeburg to Hamburg is planned.
