Measurement program waste wood combustion
Scientific cooperation: intecus GmbH, Dresden
Funding: AMAND Umwelttechnik GmbH
Duration: April 1997 - April 1999
Project description:
Waste wood, as an organic material, can no longer be landfilled without pre-treatment after all regulations of the TA - municipal waste have come into force. For the majority of waste wood, only energy recovery will be possible in the future. In this case, high demands are to be made on emission-reducing measures. There is a strong need for research, especially in the area of smaller plants used for decentralized waste wood incineration. At an incineration plant, the emissions of defined assortments of treated and untreated waste wood according to the 17th BImSchV are continuously determined by means of an optical flue gas measuring system. The influence of the treatment and incineration technology on the emissions is measured. The future goal of the project is to establish pollutant balances over the treatment and combustion process.
