Saxonian Aerospace Day 2023 - a success
On October 18, 2023, the Saxonian Aerospace Day 2023 took place at the Dresden Transport Museum, and it was a resounding success: The event attracted representatives from politics, science, and industry, offering a series of excellent presentations and pitches on current research, initiatives, and an overview of the work of the Aerospace Coordinator for the Free State of Saxony, Prof. Hartmut Fricke.
Visitors had the opportunity to engage in networking discussions and develop new collaborations. There were informative exhibitions from leading companies and research institutions in the field, providing insights into future technologies and developments. The professorship had a booth showcasing the current project RescueFly and offered a 3D virtual view into the future research campus Smart Mobility Lab (SML) at the Dresden University of Technology, using VR headsets. SML will enter into service in 2026.
The Saxonian Aeropsace Day was a nice opportunity to showcase the innovative capabilities and research potential of Saxony's Aerospace Research & Development institutions and Industry. The event impressively demonstrated that the industry is thriving in the region and has a promising future.
