Halaby Graduate Student Fellowship
We would like to bring to your attention the Najeeb E. Halaby Graduate Student Fellowship (https://ral.ucar.edu/opportunity/halaby-fellowship) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. The fellowship is internationally advertised, and we welcome applications from a wide range of qualified candidates.
The fellowship holder will have the opportunity to spend three months in residence with NCAR’s Aviation Applications Program (https://ral.ucar.edu/aap) to extend his/her/their aviation or aerospace-centric research focus by considering integration of weather information towards mitigation of avoidable weather sensitivities on operations. We particularly encourage applicants interested in weather impacts on emerging modes of transportation, like uncrewed aerial system operations (both low- and high-altitude operations) and regional/urban air mobility. Research results supported by the Halaby Fellowship will be made public through a presentation at an appropriate national or international venue and publication in a relevant peer-reviewed aviation journal. Further details about this fellowship are in the attached brochure.
