Research colloquium on Sustainability and Management
On 9 November 2023, the research colloquium "Sustainability and Management" organized by Prof. Dr. Remmer Sassen (Chair of Business Administration, esp. Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting) and Junior Prof. Dr. Samanthi Dijkstra-Silva (Junior Professorship in Sustainability Assessment and Policy) was held for the fourth time.
The colloquium not only attracted researchers from the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at TU Dresden who work on sustainability and management, but also guests from UNU-Flores and IHI Zittau. The academic staff of the participating professorships complemented the diverse field of participants.
The afternoon began with a short opening by Junior Professor Samanthi Dijkstra-Silva, followed by Prof. Thomas Günther's presentation on the measurement of financial sustainability. The presentation provided an informative summary of his work on the topic, which he has published together with Dr. Christian Walkshäusl and Prof. Werner Gleißner in three publications (1, 2 und 3).
Another highlight was Lena Rieck's presentation entitled "Organizing research in times of grand challenges: Building capabilities for dynamic hybridization in institutionally complex research environments". In the subsequent discussion of the study, which she is currently conducting with Prof. Dr. Blagoy Blagoev and Prof. Dr. Edeltraud Günther, the questions of the participants were not only discussed, but valuable feedback was also given to the team of authors.
Anyone interested in attending the upcoming meeting in February can register at . The colloquium is open to presentations on submitted or soon to be published articles, the introduction of research ideas and other formats that fit thematically into the colloquium. Presenters can be assured of high-quality professional and methodological feedback from the diverse participants. We look forward to continuing to offer a space for constructive exchange and networking in the future.
