Project Success ERASMUS + KA2 Cooperation Partnership COIL-SERENADE

In December 2023, Prof. Schoop's Chair of Business Information Systems, esp. Information Management will lead a two-year funding project COIL-SERENADE (Collaborative online international learning to foster sustainability, empowerment & resilience of energy networks and the digitalisation of higher education) within the ERASMUS+ KA2 Cooperation Partnership program.  The project involves 5 partner organizations from Ukraine and the EU. These include partners from Padua (Italy), Tallinn (Estonia), as well as Kiev and Ternopil (Ukraine).

The project seeks to empower educators and students by fostering collaboration and enhancing digital and 21st century skills. The Focus is on COIL courses to improve the quality of education in the energy sector and promote interdisciplinary perspectives. The project addresses the challenges faced by the Ukrainians due to the war and intends to develop a strategy for building a modern and resilient Ukrainian educational system.

Key activities include training partners in designing and implementing Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) courses with tailored case studies, establishing an online community for knowledge exchange, and devising a strategy for a digitalized education system in Ukraine. The methodology involves a combination of training, pilot implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement, leveraging insights from the community and COIL courses ensuring a well- integrated approach.

Expected results include enhanced teaching and 21st century skills, interdisciplinary learning experiences, and strategies for (re)building a modern Ukrainian educational system. The project aims to create a lasting impact by fostering collaboration between partner organizations and promoting the exchange of best practices in digital education.
