Ceremonial address of Professor Hans-Werner Sinn: Three Decades Later - An economic retrospective of German reunification

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Business and Economics at TU Dresden on June 30, 2023, Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Werner Sinn looked back on the economic success and challenges since German reunification. 

The former president of the ifo institute had already provided a much-noted analysis of the economic challenges of German unification in 1991 with his book "Kaltstart". In his lecture, he addressed the still existing differences in wealth distribution, productivity, entrepreneurship and economic performance.
