In Brief
Deutsche Bundesbank and the Faculty of Business and Economics invite applications for the Deutsche Bundesbank Award for outstanding theses in Business and Economics. Outstanding master's and diploma theses as well as doctoral dissertations with a close connection to the statutory tasks of the Deutsche Bundesbank, in particular monetary policy, financial stability, banking supervision as well as cash operations and cashless payments, are eligible for funding. The maximum award is 2,500 euros for master's and diploma theses and 5,000 euros for doctoral dissertations.

Thesis or dissertations completed between 06/2023 and 06/2024 and graded with excellent results ("summa cum laude" for dissertations) are considered for the award. Proposals for the award are submitted by the supervisor of the thesis or dissertation. Please send proposals accompanied by the documents below via email to the Dean's Office () by June 30, 2024
- a copy of the thesis;
- the assessments of the thesis;
- a CV (if available with a list of publications) of the person to be awarded. -
The award winners are selected by a selection committee (Prof. Dr. Stefan Eichler, Prof. Dr. Lars Hornuf and Prof. Dr. Christian Leßmann). Legal recourse is excluded. The selection committee decides by majority vote. Deutsche Bundesbank has the right to veto the proposed awardees.

The decision on the award is made by September 30, 2024. The award ceremony will take place at the New Year's Reception of the Faculty of Business and Economics in January 2025.
