On 16.01.2025, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Monika Schnitzer was a guest at the Faculty to present the annual report on macroeconomic development published in November 2024 and to discuss pressing economic policy issues with Prof. Dr. Christian Leßmann (Chair of Economics, in particular International Economic Relations) and the audience following her presentation. The event was organized jointly with the Dresden branch of the ifo Institute.

13.06.2024: Energy and climate policy: Which path will Germany and Europe take?
On 13 June 2024, Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm (Chair of Energy Systems and Market Design Engineering, TUD Dresden University of Technology (UTN), Head of the Energy Systems and Market Design Lab and member of the German Council of Economic Experts) and Prof. Dr. Dominik Möst (Professor of Business Administration, in particular Energy Economics, TU Dresden) discussed the topic of "Energy and climate policy: Which path will Germany and Europe take?". Prof. Dr. Christian Leßmann (Professor of Economics, in particular International Economic Relations, TU Dresden) was the moderator.
12.01.2024: Daring more market
On 12.01.2024, economic expert Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg) presented the annual report "Overcoming weak growth - investing in the future" (2023/24), which was submitted by the German Council of Economic Experts, at the Faculty of Business and Economics. In a subsequent panel discussion chaired by Prof. Dr. Christian Leßmann, she and the Prime Minister of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, addressed current and pressing issues on topics such as economic, energy and migration policy.
