World Usability Day
We usually take objects, applications and their handling for granted. But why are we able to handle them intuitively? And how user-oriented is their development?
These questions are the focus of World Usability Day, a worldwide day of action dedicated to the effects of design on our living environment.
It takes place annually on the second Thursday in November, simultaneously in more than 40 countries. With its events, World Usability Day forges a worldwide bond between research institutions, companies and users. In Germany, it is coordinated by the German UPA (Usability Professionals' Association) based in Stuttgart.
The Usability Day in Dresden provides a platform for usability stakeholders in the region and has been hosted by the CODIP of the TU Dresden since 2006.
The WUD Dresden will take place as a digital event on Thursday, November 10, 2021. Last year, we were able to gain very good experience with the digital orientation, all contributions are now published centrally throughout Germany and the interest group is growing. Currently we are in the preparation process and are looking for interested people who can contribute to the global motto "Our health". Regional UX topics are always welcome. English-language contributions will of course be entered worldwide on the World Usability Day Map.
The Dresden WUD will take place as a digital event on Thursday, November 10, 2021. A detailed program is currently being drawn up. The online event will take place via Zoom, this link will be published here before the conference.
If you have a cool contribution or are interested in presenting your practical example, then quickly, send us your ideas. We only have the specifications to set the program every half or hour.
