The Free State of Saxony supports research projects with innovative approaches in the field of health and social care economy
The Directive of the Saxon State Ministry of Social Affairs and Consumer Protection (SMS) aims at promoting innovative approaches for the health and social care economy within the framework of the implementation of the Operational Programme of the Free State of Saxony for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Eligible for funding are research and development projects as well as innovative pilot projects in the field of E-Health (especially: information and communication technologies, which improve the processes in the health care sector and link citizens, patients and service providers with each other) and Ambient Assisted Living (Age-appropriate assistance systems for independent living).
The funding can cover up to 80 percent of the project-related eligible expenses (direct costs).

Please note the internal memo of the Vice Rector for Research 2/2015: Authorization of project and grant applications can be carried out solely by signature of the Chancellor of TUD or an authorized representative. For the field of European research funding, the head of the EPC is also authorized..
The next deadline for proposal submission is March 31, 2016. The proposals have to be submitted via the European Project Center to Sächsische Aufbaubank - Förderbank (SAB).
