Who is part of the Service Center Research Data team?
The Service Center Research Data is a collaborative initiative of the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB) and the Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Sciences (CIDS) at TU Dresden. We are an interdisciplinary team that provides expert support for all questions related to research data management.
Dr. Denise Dörfel
Research Data Management Consulting
Denise Dörfel has been a member of the Service Center Research Data since 2022 and is deputy of the Unit "Distributed and Data Intensive Computing" at ZIH. She is responsible for RDM lectures and workshops and supports researchers in managing change processes through new workflows in research data management.
Dr. Torsten Gille
Research Data Management Consulting
Torsten Gille has been consulting for the Service Center Research Data since 2019. In this capacity, he develops tools for organizing research data workflows. His interests primarily lie in the development of systems for structured information management.
Billy Meyer
IT Specialist and Application Developer
Billy Koban has been working as an IT specialist at the Service Center Research Data since 2026. His work focuses on the development, configuration, and administration of data management software (e.g., ELN). He advises users on the technical options for implementing their specific requirements
Sebastian Preißler
IT Specialist and Application Developer
Sebastian Preißler has been an IT specialist at the Service Center Research Data since 2019. There, he works on the technical implementation and user-oriented optimization of data management software. His main focus lies on the development, configuration, and administration of web-based software. He offers consultations to help determine possible technical solutions based on individual requirements.
Dr. Katharina Zinke
Research Data Management Consulting
Alongside her tasks as a subject librarian, Katharina Zinke has been advising researchers since 2022 in the department of Research-related Services of the SLUB and at the Service Center Research Data. She is mainly concerned with conveying information through lectures and workshops on the topic of research data publication.

Ralph Müller-Pfefferkorn is the head of the Unit "Distributed and Data Intensive Computing" at ZIH. For many years, he has been dealing with various aspects of data handling. His consultations focus on concepts, data management, software tools, and the archiving and publication of data.
