TU Dresden’s transfer strategy pursues goals which support the overall strategy of the university.
TU Dresden is committed to making the in-house expert knowledge available to the industry, political actors and society as a whole. TUD strives to contribute to the knowledge and information demand of the society as well as strengthening the (general) knowledge.
TU Dresden strives to transform suitable scientific results into economic value-added. By supporting innovation, regional businesses in particular are to be made more competitive thus creating jobs and tying highly-skilled staff to the region
TU Dresden in particular supports technology- and knowledge-based spin-offs with high innovation potential. By supporting their spin-off business TUD contributes to strengthening the start-up culture as well as the regional economic development. It ties highly-skilled staff to the region and increases tax revenues.
For its scientists TU Dresden creates framework conditions allowing them to conduct excellent and fruitful research. TUD makes a decisive contribution to its international visibility, its competitiveness and increased appeal by marketing research results, safeguarding IP-rights, initiating co-operations and promoting knowledge & know-how transfer.
TU Dresden is committed to a balanced ratio between state subsidies and public & private third-party funding.
