Election 2025

Dear Postdocs,

We are your elected Postdoc Council of the Postdoc Center of TU Dresden under the umbrella of the Graduate Academy (GA) and would like to invite you to candidate in the upcoming election!

The Postdoc Council exists for three years now. It is one of the few already established and elected postdoc representations in Germany. As such, it takes on a sort of pioneering role that all its members can actively help shape.

In the last legislative period, among other tasks, we have:

• acted as a contact point and information hub for postdocs by perceiving and communicating their challenges, needs and wishes
• represented the interests of postdocs in various decision-making processes of TU Dresden, and especially the Graduate Academy (GA),
• facilitated networking among postdocs by hosting various events,
• established a network of postdoc councils in Germany to exchange experiences and perspectives on committee work and postdoc topics at national level.

Would you like to become a member and contribute shaping the Postdoc Council, advocate for the interests of postdocs, promote interdisciplinary exchange and actively participate in the GA decision-making processes?

Are you interested in gaining insights into various academic processes and experience in committee work that is an essential aspect for your academic CV?

Important information:

• Candidate until 04. June, 2025 by sending an email including a short text on your motivation to  
• Prerequisite for candidacy as well as participation in the elections is membership as a postdoc in the Graduate Academy; this applies to both full and associate members.
• The elections for the 2024/2025 legislative period will take place online between 11.-13. June, 2025.
• The legislative period lasts for 1 year.
• Up to 11 representatives from all disciplines are elected to the committee.
• Our working procedure: You can read about our range of tasks in our rules of procedure . We meet virtually once a month and the members take on individual tasks between the meetings depending on their area of responsibility, capacities and work in a self-organized manner.
