Therefore, our program provides training opportunities tailored to the needs of their actual or next career step. Our focus is on developing transferable skills and key competencies as well as on the personality development of early career researchers.

With our mentoring programs, we support doctoral candidates and postdocs in their personal and professional development and scientific career planning. We offer them the opportunity to successfully master the next step in their scientific career through exchange with an experienced person (mentor), reflection, feedback, networking, and further qualification.

GA Writing Retreat

Once a year, the GA Writing Retreat is taking. Doctoral candidates and postdocs who would like to take a break from the hectic daily university routine and to fully concentrate on the writing of their academic texts are invited to take part.

Good Doctoral Supervision

The supervision of doctoral candidates is crucial for the successful completion of a PhD and the career path of early career researchers. In addition to providing academic support, good supervision also offers mentoring, guidance, and a supportive environment.

Therefore, the program provides training opportunities tailored to the needs of junior researchers' actual or next career step. Our focus is on developing transferable skills and critical competencies and on developing their personalities.

Winter Semester 2025/26:
Doctoral candidates can register for workshops over here.
Postdocs can register for workshops over here.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Further information concerning the registration procedure can be found in our Registration Guide.

The prerequisite for participation is that you are pursuing your doctorate at TUD and have been officially accepted as a doctoral candidate. For Postdocs, a confirmed membership at the Postdoc Center is required.
Registration for seminars and workshops is possible on this website (on a first-come, first-served basis). For this purpose, a ZIH user account is required because you will be forwarded to the Promovendus website. If you do not have a ZIH user account, we can request a guest login for you.
The number of workshops and seminars is limited to 5 workshops every semester! Short Workshops and lectures are not affected by this regulation. Therefore, please carefully consider which events are of particular interest to you and only register for five workshops or seminars.
If you are prevented from taking part in a workshop or seminar, please inform the GA immediately, at least 10 working days in advance.
After the successful completion of a seminar or workshop, you will get a certificate of participation.
