Equal opportunities
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences combines equality with multifaceted aspects of diversity, inclusion and gender as well as their transcultural and transdisciplinary reflection. Thus, working towards equality does not only apply to regulations at an institutional level but also commitment in research and teaching. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences also recognizes equality as more than an acknowledgement of the diversity of our society but also strives to make the most of its potential. Work on equality should raise awareness of institutional inequality and provide constructive responses to unequal treatment. In general, equality work aims to enable all university members to participate in every aspect of university life.
In 2019, the Equal Opportunities Officers of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences developed an equal opportunities strategy. The School Committee approved this in October 2019. The equal opportunities measures of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences are committed to this strategy. You can find the equal opportunities strategy here: Equal opportunities strategy of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (2019).
