Conference "Sprachsensibles Unterrichten"
With its access to processes of language acquisition, language-sensitive teaching in all subjects and school types can improve the distribution of chances in the classroom. This is not only a benefit for pupils with German as a second language (DaZ) during their integration into the standard classes, but also for those with German as their mother language. Nevertheless, many schools do not see the teaching of DaZ as a task of all teachers, they often do not know enough about the relevance of a continuous language education in all subjects. Thus, the school management, colleagues, and parents sometimes disparage the work of the DaZ teachers, and there is too little exchange despite good approaches. The project "Spracherwerb im Spannungsfeld interkultureller pädagogischer Beziehungen (SiB)" dealt with this situation. In order to complete it, the ZfI sincerely invites you to the concluding conference "Sprachsensibles Unterrichten".
There, the results and open questions of the project will be presented. Furthermore, the input lecture by JProf Inger Peteresen (Kiel University), and the work in four thematic workshops will create a context for a multi-perspective approach to the subject of language-sensitive teaching. The conference will take place on 6th December.
You can find a possibility for registration, as well as further information on the conference website.
