CANCELLED! Interactive evening by IDA and the RLC - cinema and round table discussion on the topic of 'Arriving in Germany'

Belonging, migration, flight and integration are topics that have been more present than ever in Germany since 2015. The two student initiatives IDA and RLC, which belong to the Centre for Integration Studies at TU Dresden, have been dealing with these very topics since 2015 and support people with experiences of flight in Dresden in many ways.

On 22.11.2021, they are organising an event together for the first time to provide insights into the perspectives and experiences of those who have had to flee their own homeland and are trying to arrive in Germany.

IDA and RLC cordially invite you to the film screening 'We are here now'. Afterwards, there will be an open discussion on the topic of flight and arriving in Germany with the association Zeugen der Flucht (Witnesses to the flight).

About the documentary film:
"Wir sind jetzt hier" (2020, approx. 45 minutes) is about seven young men who came to Germany as refugees in 2015 and now live in Germany. From the perspective of '5 years later', the protagonists talk about all the experiences they have had in Germany over the past 5 years, from the situation in the camp to their newly started studies. This is already the second joint film by Ronja Wurm-Seibel and Niklas Schenck after the highly acclaimed "True Warriors" (2014).

The event will be held in compliance with the hygiene concept of the Kino im Kasten. Please take note of this before attending our event.
In addition to the 2G rule, we can only grant admission to people with a current Coronatest. Please come to the event already tested!
Free tests are available for TU members at the HSC, in addition there will be a small number of tests available at the entrance.
