Project ProVEST - Professionalization of Teachers and Mentors in Vocational Education to Realize Powerful Transformative Learning Environments for a Sustainable Transition. Project ZuKo4Saxony – Development of Future-Oriented Skills in Dual-Program Students Host Companies. Project duration: 09/2024 – 08/2027. Funded by: the European Social Fund (ESFplus) and the Free State of Saxony. The ZuKo4Saxony project supports host companies with an innovative and modular learning environment that prepares company employees and managers for the onboarding, integration, and mentoring of dual-track students, links the learning environments of the university and the company, and provides resources to support student learning. Project Lernortwerkstatt digital. Duration: July 2023 – March 2026. Funded by: Saxon State Ministry of Culture (SMK) as part of the “Digitale Schule Sachsen” initiative.
The project develops and tests workshop formats that complement and expand school-based offerings on computer science topics and connect the school as a learning environment with out-of-school learning environments. Extracurricular learning venue partners in the project include the Technische Sammlungen Dresden, the ZCOM Zuse Computer Museum in Hoyerswerda, and the International Center for Computer Science and Exchange in Saxony (IBS Laubusch) Foundation.
Project Vocational Education 4.0. Duration: 03/2022 – 10/2023. Funded by: Saxon State Ministry of Culture (SMK). Awarded the European Comenius-EduMedia Award 2024.
The project developed a digital infrastructure based on Industry 4.0 processes that enables the collaborative use of various technical environments at the participating vocational schools in the spirit of learning-site cooperation. This allows complex production contexts and real-time data from vocational schools, training centers, vocational training facilities, training companies, and the business sector to be consolidated and made available for learning processes, taking into account the requirements of Industry 4.0.
Project MeLA —Concept for Integrating Holistic Media Education into Teacher Education. Duration: 01/2019–09/2019. Funded by: Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture, and Tourism (SMWK). In cooperation with: Chair of Media Education at the Faculty of Education, TU Dresden. Development of a curriculum and integration of media education and media didactics content to promote comprehensive media education in teacher training.

Project Diffusion of Digital Technologies in Vocational Education through Learning Site Cooperation (DiBBLok). Duration: 03/2019 – 02/2022. Project DiKoLA – Digitalization-Related Competencies of Teachers in Teacher Education Programs. Duration: 07/2019 – 12/2020. Funded by: Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture, and Tourism (SMWK). In cooperation with: the Chair of Media Education and the Chair of Educational Technology at the Faculty of Education at TU Dresden. Development of a competency framework for “Teachers’ Digital Competence in Teacher Education Programs.”
Certificate Course Media Education and Media Didactics” for students in teacher education programs. Duration: 01/2016 – 06/2019. Funded by the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture, and Tourism (SMWK). In cooperation with: the Chair of Media Education at the Faculty of Education, TU Dresden. Design, implementation, and evaluation of a training program on media literacy and media education for students in teacher education programs.
