Guiding concept

Farbe erleben, entdecken und verstehen. Diesem Ansatz folgend werden im LernLaborFarbe der TU Dresden Phänomene und Forschungsfragen rund um die Themen Farbe und Licht von Wissenschaftlern und Studierenden für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen aufbereitet.

Experiencing, discovering and understanding color. Following this idea, scientists and students at TU Dresden's LernLaborFarbe are preparing phenomena and research questions revolving around color and light for different target groups.

In instructional scenarios, the participants are encouraged to engage in current technological and historical issues related to color and light which are relevant to science, business, and society, following an interdisciplinary approach.

The LernLaborFarbe is thus an extracurricular place of learning for preschool children, pupils from different types of schools, trainees and specialists from various professions. At the same time, by involving students in the preparation and realization of our activities, this place becomes a teaching laboratory, which is constantly expanding its range of events.

The LernLaborFarbe is connected to the Color-Light Knowledge Forum (Wissensforum Farbe-Licht) - a cross-university network of researchers, artists and entrepreneurs that emerged from the interdisciplinary collaborative research project Color as Actor and Memory (www.farbaks.de). This connection facilitates the transfer of knowledge "from research to society" in an authentic way.
